The University of Minnesota's Rosemount Research & Outreach Center (RROC) invites you to our in-person summer research event, held in conjunction with our Advisory Committee, a 20 member group including leaders in agriculture production, finance, agri-business, natural resources, and local government.

These exciting field days are your chance to get outdoors, learn how to ID plants, spot pests, scout for problems, and sharpen your ag skills, all while having fun with fellow 4-H’ers. This brand new in-person learning experience is open to youth of all abilities—bring your family along, too! Don't miss this fresh opportunity to explore agriculture like never before! Open to both 4-H and non-4-H youth and their families!

Learn about research that's being conducted in crop diseases and corn rootworm management at the Rosemount Research and Outreach Center! 

Dr. Dean Malvick, U of MN Extension plant pathologist, will lead demonstrations and discussions about the soybean diseases sudden death syndrome (SDS) and frogeye leaf spot, and on the corn disease tar spot in the crop diseases session. Dr. Ken Ostlie, Extension entomologist, will give an update about the performance of corn rootworm management options under drought conditions. 

Registration will occur from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., with the field day following from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A light lunch will be served after the tour. There is no cost to attend the field day and lunch is included.
