Rosemount Research and Outreach Center

Building on the success of last year's event, the Rosemount Research and Outreach Center, in partnership with University of Minnesota Extension, once again welcomed local 4-H youth for a day of hands-on agricultural learning.

Farmers, industry professionals, and researchers gathered recently at the Rosemount Research and Outreach Center for a field day led by Dr. Debalin Sarangi, Assistant Professor and Extension Weed Scientist at the University of Minnesota.

The winter-hardy oilseed crop known as winter camelina is drawing increasing interest across Minnesota for its ability to protect soil, provide an additional revenue stream for farmers, and serve as a potential feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel. To support ongoing research and collaboration around this emerging crop, the Rosemount Research and Outreach Center recently hosted a field day organized by the University of Minnesota Forever Green Initiative and its partners.
